Overview

Dragon Quest Builders is a spin-off from the long-running fantasy JRPG franchise Dragon Quest. In a significant departure from the usual games in the franchise, the game world is composed of large square blocks, very reminiscent of Minecraft.

Plot

The game takes place in Alfegard - the world of the original NES Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior. In an alternate ending to the original game, when the hero is faced with a choice, he chooses to share rule with the Dragonlord instead of defeating him. With the land around them in ruin, the player is tasked with rebuilding and restoring it to its former splendor.
